Here is a link to Golda's performance in Region Solo and Ensemble tonight. I was going to post the recording of her playing at the school level a couple of weeks ago, but the computer wouldn't work. She got a One rating then, enabling her to move to Region, which was tonight, and this performance was even better, I thought. So it all worked out. Thanks so much to Jennifer, who is an amazing accompanist. It's fun to watch the video later and discuss why she rushed the triplets and where the phrasing was nice. She got a One tonight too (the highest), but we don't know if that means moving to State or not.
Golda sure is a fun person to have around, even though she now knows everything about the history of the world, thanks to Mr. Rice and "AP World Civ." Tonight, I told her that I wanted to visit "this little island called Cyprus" someday. She informed me that she knows exactly where Cyprus is. Good. She seems ready for the AP test coming up in a few weeks. What an exciting time of life! POY, Golda!

Man, that accompanist was not in sync! :) Yay, Golda!
She is such a poised, gracious young woman.
Admitting my unhipness here: What does POY mean?
That was beautiful! Annie and I enjoyed "Golda singing" together. Jennifer was also wonderful - thanks for sharing.
It means "Proud of Ya." It might just be a Felshaw-ism. :)
