Outside Activities

My friend Leslie Bates messaged some pictures of the blossoms at the Capitol one day when I was picking up Freestone from ballet. Inspired, I thought we’d stop by on our way home. Freestone’s reaction was, “Mom, ugh, I just had seven hours of class. OK. Let’s do it.”  He is such a thoughtful teenage boy. I just love him!

Scott and I took three of our girls back the next day to walk around and admire all the blossoms, and the other people stolling around.

Golda took lots of pictures of the girls.
I went up to Park City to clean Carol Gavan's condo. Long story how I ended up with that gig. but it was enjoyable. Deer Valley was a ghost town in the off-season, and the view was nice. I did laundry and cleaned and then drove up to the Ranch to enjoy some solitude lat into the night. I love alone time! I can't figure out why a person who loves to be alone had seven kids. I'm never alone. I'm never not needed. It seems like moms are the people who are always there when anyone needs them, but I don't want to be that person sometimes. The future seems daunting when I think that I'll have to do it like Coco and Marlene. They do so much for everyone. I don't want to do anything for anyone, let alone seven kids, numerous grandchildren, leftover exchange students, customers and all my kids' friends.

Then again, I do love all that stuff. I just know I have to take it one day at a time, and be sure to refuel with solitude, so I have energy for more of this...
