Spring Breakness

Last week was Golda's spring break at UVU. She went to London and Paris and had a great time! It was also Freestone's SB from BW and his online school. He spent it taking ballet classes at Clytie'a and Imagine in Ogden. OCD helps when you're a ballet dancer. He didn't want to "lose technique."

This week was SB for the rest of us. Because it's not break for all of us and because Ruby is gone, we did our big family beach trip in December when we could all go together. That leaves us a little forlorn this week as everyone takes off for their various tropical and exotic locations. Still, we have so far had four days packed with fun. Saturday and Sunday were Easter festivities, and we also had lots of ballet and the muic store had a great day Saturday.

Monday, I took some of the kids to Park City. Freestone had ballet and stayed home with Scott, and Araceli had left early Monday morning with Golda to spend some time in Orem. they had manicures, went to dinner, went shopping and hung out at Golda's dorm. I love that she invites her siblings to come to her place.
We stopped and shopped at the outlets on the way up, and Walmart for half price Easter candy. I brought up delicious Hawaiian food from Gnarly's in Kaysville. Their Monday special is 6 bucks for a ton of food.

Hot tub, movie (Yes, I figured out how to use the DVD player and TV!!) and games, ad everyone was out.
Vilina's tooth fell out, and the kids enthusiastically told her about the Tooth Fairy and how she would leave money under Vilina's pillow. Great. After an exhaustive search of the car, my wallet, my bag, and the entire condo, I came up with a $20 bill and 67 cents. As a lst resort, I broke into Xanthe's coin purse and discovered like 65 dollars. What the heck! I stole four quarters and...crisis averted. The first thing Vilina did when she woke up was to look under her pillow. I'm so glad I went to the effort. Another American tradition experienced.

We took the back way home and stopped in Midway for these famous-to-us cookies. They're so good. We are addicted to them from getting them at Quench-It on the way to Ballet West. The original venue is cute. They specially made the kids their unicaorn cookies, with cotton candy and sprinkles on top. We drove down PRovo Canyon and picked up Araceli in Orem before arriving home in time for Flora's birthday party for Tizzy, shopping for the girls and a dash to Front-runner to drop off Freestone. And now, back to work at the music store. We really have to cram in the fun if we're going to have any!
