Wedding Day

Isn't Nana Ruby beautiful?  She was smiling and ready for Trajan and Micaela's wedding.  She looked beautiful.  In the temple, when the sealer came in, he went to Nana and said, "You must be related."  She said, "Not really."  Later, she forgot who it was that was getting married.  Nevertheless, it was comforting to have Nana there looking so radiant.  I brought all the kids except Ari and dropped them off at the Church History Museum, which we had been wanting to show Chloe and Olympe anyway.  Scott and Ari had stayed overnight in Park City and had been school shopping all day.  I can't tell you how grateful I am that Scott will do that!

The wedding was beautiful, the spirit was peaceful yet ebullient, and I couldn't get over how grateful I was that it was Trajan's wedding day.  He had stopped by the house earlier, and I said, "Hey!  You're getting married today!"
Emily, Melanie and Dustin, waiting for the bride and groom to emerge.

Micaela made these for the little girls.

Freestone is so funny.  Sometimes in a good way, sometimes in an impossible way.  Here, he's just being a goof ball.

 There they are!

Micaela always takes the time to make the kids feel special.

Trajan's friend Darren, one of the guys who did the funny roast.  (Yeah, he's the Questar guy.)
Melanie happened to get a shot of our whole family that I declared Christmas-card-worthy.  Check that chore off the list!  It is DONE!!

I really, really love my brothers.  They are and always have been an unwavering example to me.  They're strong and have integrity, and they're funny.

I think everything and everyone looked so beautiful!
 Tizzy.  Ha ha ha!

Trajan loved Abe the photobomber.  Can't stop laughing at his expression.  And Tizzy sneaking behind the group.  The kids are so precious.
The kids...They probably ruined quite a few pictures.  But I think Trajan likes having them in the background, being their funny selves.

The night before the wedding, at the dinner celebration, Trajan and Micaela did the big sendoff with us waving sparklers and them getting into a decorated car.  It was fun, but then it was like, "Wait.  Where are you going!?  You're not married yet!"  I think they came back and went their separate ways.  So on the wedding day, there was no big sendoff, really.  Just a few rounds of hugs, then Micaejan took off.  Rumor has it they went to Smash Burger in their wedding clothes, then off on their honeymoon.  Perfect!

The rest of us were suddenly left without a party.  The whole big thing was over.  My dad suggested Oakridge, which was a relief.  We all needed somewhere to go.  Scott took Free and Tolly to Park City for "their turn," the saint of a dad.  The rest of us had a leisurely dinner on the patio overlooking the golf course.  We were all so happy, and so tired and so relaxed.

A toast to the happy couple in their absence.  Mom's caption was, "Miss you!  Glad you're not here!"

Tricia's foot injury still prevents her from walking on uneven ground, so we took a separate pic, rather than make her hobble over the flowerbeds.

Golda, looking like a lush for probably the only time in her life, past or future.
Joking about Chloe's "food baby," named David.

Well, that's it.  Trajan and Micaela are married!  They're in Cancun right now, and to tell you the truth, none of us can wait until they get back and start living their lives in our midst.  We want to enjoy their presence as much as possible, because Trajan has been known to move to a foreign country on a whim, and Micaela strongly encourages that behavior!  So come home, you two!  Entertain us!
