U2

We tried to get U2 tickets when they went on sale in January, but none of the dates made sense, and they sold out in minutes anyway. Then U2 added another show in L.A. and there were secondhand tickets available and it was Friday morning, so of course Scott decided to get some kids out of school and drive to California. When in doubt, just do it! They stayed in Victorville Friday night (free Marriott night!) and drove to Venice Beach Saturday morning. It was a perfect beach day. I was so happy to see pictures of them in the sunshine and sand.
Meanwhile, I dropped Xanthe, the responsible parent, and Tizzy off at a movie at the Kaysville Theater while I worked at the music store.

Packing list: swimsuit, towel, toothbrush
And U2 tickets
I love this picture!
Road trip! And now we know Scott can actually stay awake and drive!
Ptolemy got to go because he's our music guy. He loves music. Now he knows all the U2 songs and sings them all the time.

Two-room suite for Marriott points.

New suit! It was time.

Venice is fun. Last time I was there, it was with the Euros. And Ptolemy, because he's just a fun side kick. We loved it.
Street tacos for the win

Araceli got a new long board. Scott is the best dad ever.

When the music started, Scott was filming Ptolemy. His face was full of wonder and awe. Priceless.

They got back Sunday night with sand in their shoes, tunes in their heads and memories in their hearts. Have you ever gone on a trip that you regretted? I haven't.
