We woke up Friday morning to this beautiful garden after a good night's sleep in our spacious, three-bedroom mansion. We relaxed on the patio with some the other guests, some guys down from L.A.
There was a well, but Camilo said it had been poisoned, so there was no water in it anymore, just chickens. Chickens in a well. OK. Araceli wanted to help with the chickens, so Jimmy and Camilo let her go in the well.
This was so funny. We found out rather quickly that Jimmy had a drinking problem. The night before, he had waxed on and on about the delicious breakfast he was going to make for us. The next morning, there was no breakfast, which we didn't mind at all, but then Jimmy came up to us at the patio table and gave us, with great ceremony, Ho Hos. Is that what they're called? Those Hostess things? We laughed so hard!
With the chickens fed and the koi all cleaned up, we ventured out to the beach!

The house we stayed in had some interesting architectural elements. Like a koi pond in the basement. As we were relaxing, we heard hysterical laughter coming from the koi pond. You have to hear it. It was so funny, I recorded it. I don't know if it was a Tom Sawyer moment, but before long, Araceli, Ruby and I were helping clean the grime off the sides of the koi pond. Jimmy caught the fish and let us pet them. Not your traditional vacation experience, but so funny!
