Ari's Big Idea

Araceli organized a cute recital Friday night.  She invited some of her friends to play, printed programs, rehearsed with the pianist and hired her mom and Sarah to make refreshments.  The recital was wonderful.  All the kids did a great job and it was great for the parents because, unlike most recitals, we knew and cared about every kid playing, so the whole thing was wonderful.  Golda almost got cut from the program because Ari was on a power trip, but she agreed to let Golda participate when I stepped in.  I love to hear Golda sing!  She sang Defying Gravity in preparation for the school musical audition, which is at the end of October. I had to help Xanthe because she made a little mistake and froze up.  Usually she does great, but if something goes wrong, she panicks.  I can relate to that!

Thanks heavens we have an incredible accompanist, Jennifer.  Ari gave her flowers and told her thanks at the end.  She deserves so much more than flowers for her willingness to serve and take time, and her rare talent.  Anyone who plays an instrument knows the value of a good accompanist.

All in all, it was a relaxed, fun experience for everyone.  Even Mike and Annie got to play their own two notes' worth!

Wow! It looks so impressive! If they wanted they could take the recital on the road and play at a nursing home.
