Grandpa has been in the hospital with a kidney scare.  We are so glad he's home!  Araceli interviewed Scott about who his hero is, and Scott said his hero is his dad, Bruce.  Here is their interview, with Ari's questions and Scott's answers, about his dad:

Name a person who made a difference in your life:  My dad

Why did he make a difference?  He sacrificed his time and money to make it so I had a good childhood.

What sets this person apart as a modern-day hero?  He always had time for me.

How are you a better person after having known the person?  I try to be like him as a dad.

What advice would you give to someone my age?  To work hard and to be organized with your time so you can also have time for fun.

Bruce is a hero to all of us.  Ari told him that if he needed a kidney (which he didn't, don't panic!), Ari wanted to be the one to donate the kidney.  Later, she wouldn't let Ruby borrow her Utah sweatshirt and I reminded her that a kidney would be a little bigger deal than a sweatshirt.  She ended up letting Ruby take the sweatshirt, just to prove that she would be up to the challenge of a kidney donation.

Bruce, we're glad you're on the mend and we love you.  Get lots of rest!

Yes, Bruce is quite an amazing dad, grandpa, father in law, etc. I'm glad he is feeling better. We don't know what we'd do without him.

Doesn't he know that parents are not allowed to get sick! At least I wish that was the case. So glad he is doing better!

I'm so glad he's doing ok. Ari is such a sweet girl. And Scott is a great dad like his dad.

So glad to hear Bruce is home and doing better. Prayers answered. What a great interview by Ari and Scott...who is a great dad. And so giving of Ari to want to donate her kidney if needed, so glad it wasn't. All good wishes to Bruce for a complete recovery. XO Tricia
