Victor
and Sofia arrived on Golda's birthday, June 23. We have all been
looking forward to seeing them, and we were so happy when they arrived. We wanted them here sooner, but their aunt's wedding was the week prior, so they came right after that, just in time to spend a few days with Golda. I love how these youngsters have developed life-long friendships over the past four summers. That first summer that Ruby and Golda's wanderlust created their trip to Europe, I had no idea how it would turn out. They were staying with friends of mine from so long ago, with children their ages whom they had never met. The Neyrand-Rouxs, Lavissieres in France, Argentis in Venice and the Altieris all took in our daughters as if they were their own, and we've never looked back. Now we're just waiting for Olympe and Chloe to arrive so the tradition can continue!
For now, it's just "The Spaniards." We got right down to the business of fun with the Altieris, taking them to Oakridge and Park City. This is Sofia's first time in the U. S. She is 14, turning 15 next week, and her English gets better by the minute. We feel lucky to have our Spanish kids here. We may try to keep them. ;)
