Donuts and Boats

Memorial Day doesn't usually start like this!  If this is global warming, may I please have some global cooling?  My flowers don't like sleet.
On a day that usually starts at Lagoon, Scott took the kids to Bowman's to get them a donut as big as their entire body.  Jake informed everyone that he had had a giant donut "at least four times before," but it was all new to the other kids and it was yummy overload!
Instead of braving Lagoon in stormy weather, we enjoyed our salads and sandwiches and, of course, chocolate chews, in the comfort of Grandma and Grandpa's house.  In some ways, it was even better than Lagoon!
And Ptolemy got a new boat.  This is the guy (Clint) who thinks the boat is his, but if you ask Ptolemy, he'll shout, "MY BOAT!!" until his throat is raw.  He did NOT want to get out of "his boat," especially after he discovered the fun of driving it.  Tolly might take Clint and Nikki waterskiing if they're nice, though.  If it ever stops either snowing or flooding!
