Christmas Eve

The Christmas season went swiftly, as it is wont to do.  Before you know it, the whirl of activities comes to a forced stop.  You're out of time!  Christmas Eve morning, we checked in on Nana.  She is comfy and cozy and doesn't usually want to go out.

Dylan's in Kaysville does a two-egg breakfast for $1.99 on Christmas Eve morning.  They are so good to the community, and so generous.
You can see the breakfast made us happy.  Scott met us there from work or somewhere, and we all dined as a party of nine for the second time in 2 days.  Wow!
Later that day, at Grandma and Grandpa's, the light was perfect to snap a few pictures of each of us.  This is Golda, first semester of college, age 18.

Ruby, junior in high school, and working on a project to send a thousand books to a primary school in Swaziland.  And Tizzy, everyone's favorite little angel.
Scott, age 45, favorite thing:  being with his kids.

Randomly selected assortment of daughters.
Tizzy, she feels like she belongs in every picture.
A week before our 20th anniversary, we think things have turned out better than we could have hoped.
Araceli, 8th grade, looks like she's 20.  She is interested in cello, has gotten more into ballet, and loves friends.  She's a good friend to everyone.

Xanthe, in her 2nd year of 4th grade, is thriving.  She has a great teacher, as well as several resource teachers that she loves.  She's loving and helpful and happy.

Freestone loves to tease, and I hate it.  He's working on being himself, but less.  Har har.  He's fun to be with.  We laugh a lot.  He's smart, and he's not very good at hiding his surprise whenever I actually know something.  It cracks me up.

After our photos, we went inside for everyone's favorite day of the year....
