Vladimir in the House!

Most of our friends and family know Zeljko and Jenn, and the whole Mijatovic clan.  Most of you probably gave us money in 1999 to help Zeljko escape the war in Kosovo and come here.  We had met Vladimir and Borjanka and their children, Miroslava and Zeljko, in Greece in 1996.  The whole thing was destiny.  We were never planning on going to that little beach town, and if it hadn't been for the noisy teenagers who took over our train car, we never would have jumped off in exasperation, and we wouldn't have met Vladimir.

Zeljko lived with us in Idaho until he could get on his feet.  We loved having him, even if Golda and baby Ruby had to be roommates...in our walk-in closet!  It was completely worth it, and we're thankful to this day to have Zeljko and Jenn and their 4 boys in our lives, and to be able to see Vlaidimir and Borjanka every few years.  I wish it were more often, it's so sweet to see them reunited with their family.

The family came over for breakfast, but Borjanka was home sick.  Two days later, they came for a special dinner.  Again, Borjanka was sick, so we never got to see her.  I hope they can come back soon so we can make up for that.

Look at these giant Milka bars they brought us from Serbia!
