Field Day

Xanthe wearing Ruby's GREEN shirt (right after she spilled water on it.)
This is an actual email from the school:

Our classes are wearing the same colored shirt for field day to encourage team spirit. If your student is in the green class, they will wear a red shirt. If they are in the blue class, they will wear a green shirt.

Wait, you couldn't think of a way to make it MORE complicated?  Interestingly enough, we discovered this morning that the GREEN kid had 14 red shirts in her closet but no green, the RED kid had no clean clothes at all and there was one kid, who has two teachers, that was assigned both YELLOW and BLUE.  He went with green because combining the colors made perfect sense to him.  Good luck today, teachers!  Are you sure we all still have the combined brain capacity to pull of field day?  How about just popsicles?  Blue for the green class, red for kids with blue eyes, orange for the blue class and yellow for all the kids with red hair?

This year's teacher gift.

I didn't do teacher gifts this year. I had some many lunches and dinners and DVDs to do for the teachers, I figured my time was their gift. Also, seriouly, why would they do that color combo....???? Way confusing!
