Harlem Globetrotters Slated to Beat the Governor!

News Flash from Steve Hendricks, band director:

On May 18 and 19 the Davis High Band will host alumni members of the Harlem Globetrotters as they put on their famous show at Davis High School. We are almost finished assembling the teams they will play against, and we truly have an all-star cast signing up! Some of the committed players who will suit up to get beaten by the Globetrotters include Governor Herbert, Randy Rigby (President of the Utah Jazz), Ron Boone, and several of the Salt Lake television news people. We also have several more local "famous" people, including some of our own DHS faculty and some of the local elementary school principals. I just learned that on the 18th we will have a certain "bear" on site to entertain the crowd!

We want to raise over $30,000 on this event to help us with our $200,000 fundraising goal for the Rose Parade, so we need your help with ticket sales. General admission tickets are $10.00 each. VIP tickets, which get you a courtside seat, a voucher for food at the concession stand, and a special reception prior to the game with the Globetrotters, are $25.00 each. As of this writing the VIP tickets are about 50% sold, so you will want to get them soon.

Tickets are now on sale at Bowman's and Fresh Market in Kaysville. You can purchase them directly there, or you can bring a check to Golda.

See you there!  Also, look for Golda and me at the Jazz playoff game this Saturday, selling concessions.  All of you were right;  this Rose Parade thing is BIG!  :)

We are going to want three tickets, just checking with my dad to see which dates. I'll text it to you and bring a check to lunch. How fun!
